Specialty Testing for Heart, Lungs & Circulation

DEXA Scan (Bone Density) 

Hampstead Medical Center PC is one of the only facilities in the Hampstead, NC area that offers in-office DEXA Scans for bone density. A DEXA Scan is a low-dose test that uses x-rays to evaluate calcium and other minerals in your bones. This scan can help measure the strength and thickness of your bones. DEXA Scans pair well with our geriatric health care because it can diagnose osteopenia and osteoporosis. 

Vision and Color Vision Exams 

We offer comprehensive vision test to monitor your eyesight strength. Dr. Garg provides test for color vision, long and short distance vision, as well as night vision. Over time your vision will change. The strength of your eyes is dependent on many factors, including screen time, overall care, and sometimes underlying conditions. 

Tympanometry 

Tympanometry is a test designed to evaluate the way your eardrum and middle ear function and move. Unless the test area is infected or inflamed, then this exam is quick and virtually painless. A tympanometry will be used to fluctuate air pressure in your ear (like an airplane takeoff) and monitor the movement of your eardrum. This test can be used to detect; fluid, infection, a hole in the eardrum, and more. 

Immunizations 

It is important to keep up with immunizations at every age. We have most immunizations in-office, including flu shots.
